Billfish Sportfishing offers many options to maximize your day upon the water. A Dusky 25 foot center console is available for 1- 4 person charters on the near coastal waters, especially the fertile fishing areas found on and around the Watch Hill Reefs and Block Island ledges.  In addition, Bill also offers his service and knowledge aboard your vessel as a Tournament Captain, tutorial lessons in regards to improving boat handling skills, electronics usage, and insight in regards to improving the 'fishability' of your boat and/or crew. Sight-seeing, sunset cruises, transport to and/or from Block Island, Fishers Island, and Montauk Point can be arranged, as well. In addition, sight-seeing, sunset cruises, transport to and/or from Block Island, Fishers Island, and Montauk Point can be arranged.


Captain Bill Brown holds a 100 Ton Masters License and has fished from the Gulf of Maine down into the Caribbean - including Cuba. His customers aboard the "BILLFISH" have won or placed in numerous big game fishing tournaments throughout the Northeast. He is the most experienced captain sailing out of the Westerly/Watch Hill area having 30 years of U.S.C.G. licensed charter fishing and boat handling know-how. His clients presently have held/hold six State Gamefish Records, including a 506 pound Thresher Shark that won the 2003 Oak Bluffs (MV) Monster Shark Tournament and set a new MA State Record for that species. Bill is an acknowledged expert for both inshore and, especially, offshore angling where his ability to capture big sharks is legendary. Capt. Bill also has the tail of the R.I. Captain Bill Brown is also a well known credentialed, award winning outdoor writer and seminar speaker whose Power Point presentations and hands-on demonstrations provide an overview of 'How To' in regards to tackle and techniques for both the inshore and offshore species of gamefish found swimming in Southern New England's regional waters. He is has been featured on local, regional, and national TV shows including NESN, VERSUS, and ESPN's 'Madfin' series. Bill is really a fun guy to go fishing with!


The vessel is equipped with PENN rods and reels exclusively. The tackle ranges from light jigging setups to 130-lb. Class rods and reels to maximize the fish catching ability and make your day on the water that much more enjoyable. Bill has pioneered the use of fly tackle in the pursuit of sharks and tuna on the offshore grounds. Besides PENN and MUSTAD, Bill is also is a participant of many other Pro Staff Programs.
